FootyLens

West Ham, properly covered.

FootyLens is a front end customised for West Ham United but flexible enough to change to any primary team focus. It provides real-time data from the FootyLens Data API and News/Transfer information from the FootyLens News API. It is a working example of what is achievable. We can create pretty much any custom front end to feed from live football data and news.

  • Web

Why it exists

Following West Ham properly means a fixture list on one site, the table on another, injury news on a third, and a group chat arguing about all of it.

One place that covers one club properly — fixtures, results, the table and the stories, without the ads and the autoplay.

Following a football club used to be simple, because there was less of it. Now the fixture list is on one site, the table is on another, the team news is behind a pop-up, and every one of them wants to autoplay a video at you.

FootyLens does one thing: it covers West Ham, properly, in one place. It is deliberately not a general football app — a generic product with a club filter always ends up serving the average user rather than the actual one.

What it does

Built to do a few things properly

  • Every fixture and result

Kick-off times, results and the table, updated as the games finish. No countdown timers, no interstitials.

  • Squad and player stats

Appearances, goals, assists and minutes for the whole squad, with the numbers that actually tell you something.

  • The stories that matter

Team news and match reaction gathered from sources worth reading, without the transfer rumour churn.

  • Built for one club

Not a generic football app with a West Ham filter. Everything on the screen is about your team.

Questions

Before you ask

  • Do I need an account?

No. Fixtures, results and the table are open to everyone. An account only matters if you want your preferences to follow you between devices.

  • Which platforms is it on?

The web app works in any modern browser. Native iOS and Android apps are to follow.

  • Is there an API?

Yes — the FootyLens Data API and News API are the same data behind the app. Both are available on request.
