Version 1.0Effective Mile End Media Limited

This Privacy Policy explains how Mile End Media Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), registered in United Kingdom under number 17030248 at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ, handles personal data when you use our paid products (“the Service”). We are the controller of the personal data described below. We take a data-minimising approach: we collect only what we need to run your subscription and provide the Service.

1. Personal data we collect

Account data: your name, email address and an encrypted (hashed) password.

Billing data: subscription and transaction records. Card/payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider Stripe and are not stored by us.

Technical and usage data: limited log, device and usage information (such as IP address, browser type and actions in the Service) used to operate, secure and improve the Service.

Support and communications data: messages you send us.

2. Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To provide the Service and manage your subscription — performance of our contract with you.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and improve it — our legitimate interests (balanced against your rights).
  • To send service and administrative messages — contract / legitimate interests.
  • To send marketing (if any) — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.

3. Cookies

Our website and app use essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep the Service secure, and may use limited analytics cookies with your consent. You can control non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or your browser settings.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — for example our hosting/infrastructure provider, our payment provider, and email/support tools — and with authorities where required by law, or with a buyer in connection with a sale of our business. These providers may include but not exclusive to Stripe, Google, LiveKit, Supabase, Cloudflare, Bunny CDN or Vercel

5. International transfers

Because we offer the Service globally, your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including outside the UK/EEA. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) to protect it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and Service data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, and we keep billing records for as long as required by tax and accounting law. We then delete or anonymise it.

7. How we protect it

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and secure development practices — designed to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping your data safe is a priority at every stage of the Service, including during early access.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, contact us at support@mileendmedia.co.uk. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk); if you are in the EU, to your local data protection authority; other regions have equivalent regulators.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy and will post the new version with a new effective date, notifying you of material changes. Questions or requests: support@mileendmedia.co.uk, Mile End Media Limited, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
